1. Strategic Placement

  • Prioritize Viewability: Place your formats in strategic and highly visible locations where visitors will see them. Ad formats with high viewability are essential for attracting advertiser bids.

  • Avoid the Footer: As a general rule, do not place ad formats in the site's footer, as visitors rarely scroll that far.

  • Do Not Modify Scripts: You must implement the ad scripts exactly as they are provided in the Moneybox. Do not modify or alter the code.

2. Core Implementation Rules

  • One Tag Per Page: A single ad tag (e.g., "Top Rectangle") must not be inserted twice on the same page. This will cause technical conflicts and reduce revenue. (See exceptions for "Top" and "Bottom" designated tags).

  • Lazy Loading: This feature should be used strategically, not with all formats. It is most effective when used with the Megabanner or Rectangle formats, particularly on mobile devices.

3. Correct Tag Location (<head> vs. <body>)

When integrating a tag, you must place it in the correct section of your site's code.

  • Place in <head>: Certain formats, including the Video Corner and the Footer/Slide-in, must be placed in the <head> section of your site to function correctly.

  • Place in <body>: All other standard formats must be placed in the <body> section, at the precise location where you wish the ad to appear.

4. Simplified WordPress Integration

If you are not comfortable editing code, we strongly recommend using our automated integration tools. Our WordPress plugin can automatically place formats such as the Footer/Slide-in, In-text, and formats in a lazy loading configuration (Megabanner, Rectangle).

5. Format-Specific Rules and Constraints

  • In-Text: This format requires a page that contains a sufficient amount of text to be inserted into.

  • In-Image: This format requires an image large enough to accommodate the ad overlay.

  • Format Conflicts: Be aware of potential conflicts. For example, if the Corner Video is added to a page that also has a Footer ad, the Footer may be repositioned.

  • Layout Integrity: Do not place formats where they break the site layout. For example, a vertical Skyscraper format should not be placed between two paragraphs of text.
